Background:
This gene encodes an enzyme responsible for the hydrolytic deamination of guanine. Studies in rat ortholog suggest this Anti-GDA/GDC抗体gene plays a role in microtubule assembly. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Nov 2011]
